Will comics become obselete?

In the past two years Marvel has released a new way to read comics. This new technology will probably someday take the spotlight away from the old fashioned printed comics. But you can't replicate the reality and ownership of a real comic onto a computer. On Marvel Digital Comics you can chose from thousands of selections of titles from the 1940's to present day. You can get the Birth of Venom collection or Colossus: Bloodline and things like that. I personally want to subscribe and try it out, but I want to hold out a little longer. Soon corporate, private and independent comic companies will make their knock-off of the idea and try to make the idea more advanced. All I can say is that there will come day when you'll have to pick a side.

  1. Wouldn't you agree that, one the marvel major comics are not nearly as successful as the kindle, and the printed book has lated pretty well so far, and two that nothing would be more exiting than owing the originally published birth of Venom collection?

  2. You know about the kindle? Right now I'm looking at the nook , but there both e-readers. I am still deciding in paper print or digital text or e-reader. And your right it is more appealing.

  3. I reckon there'll always be a place for printed comics, the question will be whether the current monthly pamphlet format will survive? I hope so.

    Great blog, keep writing.

  4. I agree agree I'm 12 but still in a few years a new generation will roll in and paper will become obsolete. Pros and cons

Pros millions of trees and resources will be saved

Cons you'll never really ever have the full experience of a printed comic compared to digital
